Espresso
Espresso is made by forcing a small amount of hot water through finely ground coffee at 9 bars of pressure to produce a small shot of concentrated coffee.
Ingredients:
- Espresso
To make a single espresso, use a small ceramic, demitasse cup if ordered to stay or a 4 oz paper cup if ordered to go.
- Pull a double long (3 oz) shot of espresso, but split the shot so only 1.5 oz is poured into the cup.
- Serve on a small saucer with a demitasse spoon if ordered to stay.
To make a double espresso, use a ceramic cappuccino cup if ordered to stay or a 10 oz paper cup if ordered to go.
- Pull a double long (3 oz) shot of espresso into the cup.
- Serve on a large saucer with a tea spoon if ordered to stay.
Note: Espresso is served as long shots by default, though a customer may choose to order their espresso as short shots.
