Latte

Latte
Derived from the Italian word "Caffelatte" meaning coffee with milk, this drink is an espresso bar classic.

Ingredients:

  • Espresso
  • 2% milk by default but can be modified to the customer’s milk of choice.

To make a medium latte, use a ceramic latte bowl if ordered to stay or a 12 oz paper cup if ordered to go.

  • Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 10 oz of milk.
  • Pull a double short (2 oz) shot of espresso into the cup.
  • Steam and aerate the milk to microfoam texture at 65°C or 150°F.
  • Pour the milk over the espresso and finish with latte art.
  • If drink is to stay, serve on a large saucer with a tea spoon.

To make a large latte, use a 16 oz glass if ordered to stay, or a 16 oz paper cup if ordered to go.

  • Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 13 oz of milk.
  • Pull a double long (3oz) shot of espresso into the cup.
  • Steam and aerate the milk to microfoam texture at 65°C or 150°F.
  • Pour the milk over the espresso and finish with latte art.

Note: For a sweeter take on the classic, a customer may choose to add a flavour syrup to their latte which can easily be added in the modifiers menu.
