Hot Chocolate
A winter classic, served year-round.
Ingredients:
- 2% milk by default
- Kingsmill Premium Hot Chocolate Powder
- OR house-made chocolate syrup mixed with the customer’s alternative milk of choice.
- Optional Whip Cream added on top for an additional $1.00
To make a small hot chocolate, use a ceramic mug if ordered to stay, or a 10 oz paper cup if ordered to go.
- Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 9 oz of milk and 1 tbsp of Kingsmill Premium Chocolate Powder. Add the milk to the pitcher before adding the powder to avoid clumping at the bottom of the pitcher.
- Steam the milk with the Chocolate Powder to standard temperature (65°C or 150°F) or kids temperature (55°C or 130°F) with micro foam.
- Pour the milk into the cup and (optional) top off with whipped cream.
- Note: Other milk options/non-dairy hot chocolate: Mix 8o z milk with 1 oz chocolate syrup.
To make a medium hot chocolate, use a ceramic latte bowl if ordered to stay or a 12 oz paper cup if ordered to go.
- Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 11 oz of milk and 1 ½ tbsp of Kingsmill Premium Chocolate Powder. Add the milk to the pitcher before adding the powder to avoid clumping at the bottom of the pitcher.
- Steam the milk with the Chocolate Powder to standard temperature (65°C or 150°F) with micro foam.
- Pour the milk into the cup and (optional) top off with whipped cream.
- Note: Other milk options/non-dairy hot chocolate: Mix 10 oz milk with 1.25 oz chocolate syrup.
To make a large hot chocolate, use a 16 oz glass if ordered to stay, or a 16 oz paper cup if ordered to go.
- Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 15 oz of milk and 2 tbsp of Kingsmill Premium Chocolate Powder. Add the milk to the pitcher before adding the powder to avoid clumping at the bottom of the pitcher.
- Steam the milk with the Chocolate Powder to standard temperature (65°C or 150°F) with micro foam.
- Pour the milk into the cup and (optional) top off with whipped cream.
- Note: Other milk options/non-dairy hot chocolate: Mix 14 oz milk with 1.5 oz chocolate syrup.
Note: The Kingsmill Premium Hot Chocolate Powder contains dairy. Always clarify with the customer whether they would like the house chocolate syrup or the Kingsmill powder if they are ordering with an alternative milk.
