Honey Cardamom Latte

Cafe Nordique
This winter latte is sweetened with honey, and a dash of vanilla extract and cardamom for added warmth.

Ingredients:

  • Espresso
  • 2% milk, but can be substituted with any alternative milk.
  • Vanilla extract
  • Honey
  • Cardamom

To make a medium Cafe Nordique, use a ceramic latte bowl if ordered to stay, or a 12 oz paper cup if ordered to go

  • Pull a double short shot Espresso (2oz) into a 12 oz paper cup.
  • Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 9 oz of milk.
  • Add ½ tsp Pure Vanilla Extract and two sprinkles of Cardamom and steam together to standard temperature 65°C or 150°F with micro foam.
  • Add 1 1/2 tbsp Honey (squirt from the bottle onto a spoon and stir into steamed milk)
  • Pour milk into the cup and finish with latte art.

To make a large Cafe Nordique, use a 16 oz glass if ordered to stay or a 16 oz paper cup if ordered to go.

  • Pull a double long shot Espresso (3 oz) into a 16 oz cup.
  • Prep a standard steaming pitcher with 11.5 oz of milk.
  • Add 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract and two sprinkles of Cardamom and steam together to standard temperature 65°C or 150°F with micro foam.
  • Add 1 tbsp of honey (squirt from the bottle onto a spoon and stir into steamed milk)
  • Pour the Nordique milk mixture over the espresso and finish with latte art.

Note: The Cafe Nordique also makes a delicious iced drink, just be sure to mix your honey into the espresso before adding to the milk to ensure it melts into the drink.
